The Holy Smoke burnout competition was held today, at a church in the north end of the city. Due to prior engagements we arrived as the last few cars roasted their tires for glory and shiny rewards, so I apologize for the lack of burnout shots. Anyway, here are some pictures we snagged from the event.
Three of the Smoke Em Diesel Performance trucks were out and were a major sponsor of the event. Trust me when I say there is nothing regular about these trucks, one of them used to be well into the quadruple digits for both horsepower and torque. This was made possible by running 160 PSI of boost. Hopefully we’ll get to do a write up on Denny’s stuff soon.
We got there in time to see this thing blow its motor!
This is the turbo set up on the dually, when it blew he hit 100psi. NUTS!
It was a beautiful day and there was a pretty good turn out! I’ll be back next year and hopefully get to see more rubber laid.
