“Joy and pain. Like sunshine and rain. I keep smokin’, hot like fire. You had the turn, now retire.”
Yup, I just quoted some old school hip hop, but I think Rob Base’s savoury lyrics encapsulate our past Saturday.
The drivers of the recent drift event displayed the spirit of the Goonies with their never say die attitude and managed to keep those tires smokin’ like hot fire. At times the track caused the drivers to retire for brief moments but they almost always returned to go one more time.
Cam appears to be slaying tires through a dewy meadow in his Toyota.
First glimpses of Adrian’s first non-S chassis.
Paul’s corolla is always a crowd favorite and seems to defy physics with how easy he makes it look.
But just as Rob Base implies, with sunshine comes rain…
Chris slammed his miata through the wet like a donkey eating an eggo. (That is a good thing)
Jesse convinced the world that he does not drive a Honda Accord and does in fact slay dreams.
You may remember this S13 from the Vegas trip we posted in November. Good to see it in its natural habitat.
Chris G. showed up with a mint condition S14, however it did not take him long to catch up to the rest of us. The car is still amazing and Chris represented Manitoba with pride.
Devin form D Garage has maybe one of the most unique AE86’s I have ever seen. Best memory of this car so far is Devin standing on the splitter to work on the engine and reverse entries. (not at the same time)
Jordan’s build is still incomplete so he got his hands on a haggard S13 and proved exactly what friendship is good for.
Finally, the down side of joy that is pain.
cant wait for the next event…. good stuff guys
