Finally, someone in Sask has stepped up and decided to give us a little taste of Bosozoku style. This ’91 MX83 slammed on Teins is a work in progress but from the sounds of it, when it is done it will be boss like Springsteen.
The first thing to go is the stock muffler, cat and resonator, which is replaced by dual pipes pointing strait up about 1.5′. The license plate notch on the front of the rare jzx81 mark ii bumper could be put to good use to mount a sick oil cooler. This will of course be followed by the exterior oil lines right up through the bottom corner of the grill. At some point the 1JZ-GTE will become the power plant for this unique Sask ride. He plans to do the R154 manual transmission swap as well.
When asked why someone would use a rare luxury car as a drift platform, owner Justin Cyr mentioned, “This car is like an office inside, and there is no replacement for displacement with the JZ series engine.”
Although, the pipes are done and have since been revised, the picture is out dated but don’t worry as this project continues we will surely come back to cover it.
i dont see these said pipes…
Who owns this car now?
Justin Cyr now owns the car.
Adam, the pipes are on the car now however the picture was taken sometime ago as there is no snow. I would really like to come back to this car over time to see how it turns out.
get pictures of the pipes!
I really like this car, are the plans to paint the bumpers/lips? or jsut leave them as is?
Here is a picture of the said pipes.

I’m switching them to look like this, only on one side of the rear though.

I blew my head gasket about an hour ago. So I won’t be driving this car until its 1jz-gte swapped. I am painting the kit when I get around to it. This car wont be seen on the streets until the jzx83 project is completed.
