This post probably seems a bit late (and it is), but winter throws my pacing off. Weeks ago we visited Las Vegas to attend the SEMA show. We had originally intended to stay in Vegas from Sunday evening to Friday morning. But when SquadOne and VSC announced there would be a VIP car meet on Friday night, we decided to stick around.
Let me start off by saying that anything more than four days on the strip is just bad for soul, and by Friday afternoon we couldn’t wait to get out of there. We headed off the strip to grab some Italian food and rest our feet after a long week of walking.
We headed to the meet around 8:30 and as we pulled into the not-so-vacant lot, we knew we’d made the right choice to stick around.
Although I call it a VIP meet, there were a large assortment of cars in attendance.
Joey and Glenn greeted us as we pulled into the lot and invited me to park the Celsior next to their rides.
Across the parking lot was the internet in real life. The crew from Fatlace brought out the “Van called Quest” and the Ben Sopra GTR on the RWB flat bed hauler. Off to the right you will notice the Sunkist EM1 civic next to the Royal Origin Flag.
The lot was divided into crews and teams, each with a style of their own. Among the Fatlace and Lowballers cars there was also a large number of Team Hybrid cars.
By 10:30 the meet was broken up by the police and although a few people moved to a back-up location, we had to hit the road. I spent most of the meet running around taking pictures, and still have plenty more to post over the next little bit.
