So my travels have put me back in Vancouver for a little while. Lucky for me there was a little meet that happened on the Spanish Banks this past Sunday. So in the midst of planning out my future, my fiancee and I took a drive out to the shore to see some classic Japanese automobiles.
It wasn’t long ago that I was completely oblivious to the West Coast scene. Even now after a few visits I am still completely oblivious but now with the help of tour guides.
Gaelen from Big Boy Media put it out there that this meet was happening so we made sure to be there. It was a chance to see a part of the history that makes up the culture that we appreciate so much. This RX-2 was in immaculate shape and drew some well warranted attention.
For good measure here is another shot.
Not a Japanese Classic but this Renault was a welcome sight.
Z’s are of course a popular weapon of choice for the classic Japanese car enthusiasts.
I was only at the meet for an hour and half but more cars kept showing and what would a meet like this be without an Corolla?
Datsun 510’s are maybe one the coolest classic Japanese cars, don’t think so? Cool Hand Luke (Paul Newman) himself use to race them.
Part of what made this meet so unreal was the scenery near the waterfront.
Not a classic but another familiar face. This fit is so amazing that I will probably take pictures of it every time I see it.
From the Banks there was an amazing view of the Vancouver Skyline.Speaking of Skylines… I will leave you with, “lla piece de resistance.”
Funny how you post more pictures in 1 post than both the defrosts, fail!
Hey Jack,
The Defrost content actually still out number these. In case you missed it, Defrost actually has two days of events coverage, one day of wheels and a feature on a CRX. We have also been posting unique content to our Facebook wall from Defrost, so if you aren’t following us, consider it. We managed to collect a lot of great content from Defrost but we can’t play all of our cards at once, so keep checking back for more.
