3. Do You Have Takata Air Bags?

The Globe and Mail reports that more than 1.5 million vehicles have been added to the list of recalled vehicles due to faulty airbags. This is added to the nearly 34 million airbags considered defective in the U.S. What’s more, the Globe says owners might have to get repairs done more than once.

The Globe reports the air bags, made by Japan’s Takata Corp., could explode and release metal shrapnel if deployed. They have caused more than 100 injuries and six deaths worldwide, but no reports in Canada yet.

Affected vehicles include Honda Civic, Accord and CR-V, Dodge Ram, Chrysler 300, BMW sedans and X5, Ford Ranger and Mustang. Most models are from 2001-2011, but some newer models are included as well. Rumours are flying that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May could be making a new show for Netflix.

The world lost its mind when the BBC chose not to renew Clarkson’s contract earlier this year, following allegations of Clarkson punching a Top Gear producer and making racist and sexist remarks. In a recent interview, Clarkson says getting the axe from Top Gear was “my own silly fault.”

The Daily Mirror says the BBC reportedly offered Hammond and May multi-million dollar deals to continue filming Top Gear, but they are likely to decline.

BREAKING: The BBC has released a trailer for the last episode of Top Gear featuring Clarkson, Hammond and May.

Just over a week ago, Lamborghini announced plans to manufacture the Urus, a luxury SUV. The Italian carmaker is the latest elite brand to join the luxury SUV trend. Lamborghini was acquired by Audi (which is owned by VW) in 1998.
