Sometimes my inner nerd gets the best of me and I make decisions that are less then wise. Was it wise to got the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” the night before Formula D round 5 started? The answer is yes, even though though that means operating on 3 hours of sleep. Anyway, let’s get down to the brass tax of qualifying for round 5.
It has been a year since our last visit to a Formula Drift event. There are few things that are as exciting as live drifting, at least for me. The smell of burning rubber, chucks of tire in your hair and the roar of engines is something that is hard to explain over drift stream.
Jeremy Lowe made the trip to Seattle all the way from Florida to remind everyone that not all Formula Drift cars are packed with V8’s. Surprisingly enough, Jeremy’s FC is equipped with a 13b.
In other news, Darren Mcnamara has revitalized the Falken S15 and in true FD fashion it is now equipped with a V8.

In huge Canadian drift news, Alex Lee has finally returned to Formula drift with 2 extra cylinders. Alex qualified with only two tires remaining in his inventory, lucky for him Falken stepped up with some more rubber for the top 32.
